Long Island Hot Yoga

If you actively participate in our Long Island yoga classes, you won’t want to miss this. The class is Long Island hot yoga, and if you’re into high-intensity workouts this is for you.

Hot yoga classes typically last an hour and a half, during which 26 yoga positions are completed twice each. Hot yoga is also called Bikram yoga, after its creator, Bikram Choudhury. The intensity comes from raising the temperature in the studio to at least 100 degrees, causing the participants to sweat profusely and burn more calories. Once the fat starts to melt off of you, you’ll be amazed at the lean, well-toned body you’ll be seeing in the mirror.

The body’s natural flexibility is also increased the hotter the muscles get, allowing for a more fulfilling yoga routine to be attained in a hot yoga claas. As your flexibility increases so too will the control you have over your body in performing Yoga positions. This will reduce the risk of injury from strained and pulled muscles. As you can see, hot yoga really does a lot of good to the body of the active participant. Why not give it a shot and see what it does for your body?

Those wishing to participate in a hot yoga class should drink plenty of water both before and after the workout. Do not eat at least two hours prior to attending the class. You should bring your own towel and yoga mat to class. Wear light clothes, as well. This could keep your body from retaining too much heat. We guarantee that your clothes, mat, and towel will be drenched by the end! Please don’t forget the water for afterwards, as well. You will seriously need to restore your fluid levels after class!

Long Islanders, come to Sole Pilates and Yoga if you’re ready for the best Long Island hot yoga classes! We will leave you sweating and satisfied!

Don’t forget that towel! And really don’t forget those fluids!
