Yoga has been practiced since 5000 years by people in different parts of the world. Yoga is a long term cure for many diseases and also is important for peace of mind. There are asanas in yoga better known as poses or positions that helps you to concentrate on the well being of different parts of the body. Yoga is rightly said as the union of body, mind and spirit. Practicing of regular yoga leads to inner peace and increased body awareness in addition to strength, healthy body, flexibility and other health benefits

Yoga, unlike medications does not have any side effects and has long term advantages. Yoga can be practiced everyday without any problem but many people prefer to do yoga 4 to 5 times a week and take a break in between. A yoga session lasts anywhere between half an hour to one hour and it all depends on your capacity how much and what type of yoga exercises you can do. It is best to take advice from a yoga instructor when you start doing yoga. The instructor may give you specific advice after having a look at your body.

A new type of yoga called naked yoga is gaining popularity. However naked yoga has got a lot of criticisms from people. Actually practicing yoga requires very loose and light clothes as the clothes provide flexibility to the body to do all the yoga exercises successfully. You should refrain from wearing shoes also during yoga but if you are not comfortable doing yoga with naked feet then you can do it with soft shoes or socks. Naked yoga puts forward a point that there will be no hindrance of any kind including clothes when you practice yoga. But many people criticize naked yoga as it diverts the mind and so people are not able to concentrate on their exercises. After all yoga is a serious discipline, there should not be any disturbance of any kind. The main goal of yoga is to achieve a balance between the mind and the body.

Naked yoga refers to practicing yoga without wearing any form of clothing. A nudist environment of people is what differentiates naked yoga from normal yoga. All the asanas are naturally the same in both forms of yoga. The worst thing about naked yoga is that it distracts attention and not many people are comfortable in getting naked in front of others. Moreover it may arouse sexual feelings in people after they see other people naked. The whole purpose of yoga is then nullified. Hence naked yoga should only be practiced if the people in the group will not consider it as any sexual activity and thoroughly concentrate on doing their asanas.
