How I Learnt To Sell Yoga Mats
I own and manage and run my own sporting goods store and I had noticed a trend that I had to take notice of, namely yoga. I had an increasing number of customers asking paricularly for yoga mats, but also for other yoga related items. I decided to check with my supplier and he admitted that he was surprised that it had taken so long for me to notice that yoga was a growing activity and that most of my rivals had been selling such items for a long time.I told him I would like to get the products in stock, and he produced a catalog that was so large I thought must be for the full range of goods that he sold but that turned out to be just yoga related items.
He told me all about the basics of yoga and how it was seen as one of the best activities for stress relief. When I saw the number of different yoga mats and bags and bolsters and blankets and even special yoga clothing I thought that I had better take it up myself. It was an slip up on my part and I was a little irritated with myself that I had ignored demand for so long because it must have been a year ago that I had had my first enquiry regarding yoga mats but I was just so busy and so set in my ways that I had ignored it until now.
I sold my first yoga mat as the stock was being delivered, so i was not too alarmed at the fact that I spent a lot more than promised on stock, and ever since my sales had grown and I regretted that it was an opportunity I had passed up for too long. The popularity of yoga was something I had underestimated.
